I see I responded to this article a year ago, and I said I was going to make an effort to get into better shape.
I did. Over this year I joined a twice-a-week exercise class at the Y for "older" folks and twice a week I work with a personal trainer who doesn't let me backslide.
Best thing I've done for myself in decades. I still have side effects from chemotherapy that I'm determined to overcome -- primarily balance issues, which, as your doctor pointed out, can be deadly.
I also discovered that I like lifting weights! Who could have imagined such a thing?
