Something that helps me with that judgmental stuff (not that you asked) is a statement from a friend: “Everyone is doing the best they can.” Kinda turned on the light bulb for me — people weren’t deliberately being assholes, they just didn’t know any better!

Except politicians and con men (women) and child abusers; they deserve all the judgement and action I can muster.
